Book Club Goodness and Contest News!

The amazing women of the Paw Paw Book Club!

This past week, I had the distinct privilege and absolute pleasure of getting together with the Paw Paw Book Club in Cambridge, Maryland! These amazing ladies were so incredibly gracious and kind to allow me to join them for lunch and a chat about books, community, and life in general. I had a wonderful time getting to know this brilliant group of women. I am so grateful to them for including me, and look forward to staying connected with them in the future. Many thanks and much love to Gail Elliott (third from left) for inviting me to join them!

It was a special treat as well to learn that among their ranks is a fellow author of sweet romance novels, Carrie Garvin (second from left). You can find out more about her and her work here!

CONTEST NEWS: I am over the moon to announce that my latest novel, DEAD SOUND, is a finalist in the Indiana Romance Writers of America Chapter’s 2019 Golden Opportunity Contest! Since I am in the process of looking for a publisher for this new romantic suspense series starter, I am thrilled that my manuscript will be part of the final round of judging by editors. Many thanks to the Indiana RWA for this truly golden opportunity, and a warm congratulations to all of the finalists!

I hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful fall — my favorite season. Wishing you all the best, and happy reading!

THE CRACKING: Finalist in the Fool for Love Contest!

I am so excited and honored to announce that THE CRACKING, my work-in-progress and the first book in the THINGS UNSEEN SERIES, has been selected as a finalist in the Fool for Love Contest, Paranormal/Published Author category, hosted by the Virginia Romance Writers chapter of RWA! I couldn’t be happier that the judges enjoyed what they read of my novel, and I’m so grateful for their incredibly helpful and encouraging feedback.

Currently, I am in the process of polishing this manuscript for submission to publishers. If you’d like to keep an eye out for it, follow me on social media or subscribe to my newsletter. The Latest: While the working title of this novel is THE CRACKING, I have decided to change it to DEAD SOUND. (However, this will not deter me from my previous plan to say, “Release ‘The Cracking!'” on publication day.) Stay tuned for future updates!

Warm congratulations to Alleyne Dickens, Priscilla Alden, and all of the finalists, and best of luck to everyone in the final round of judging!

ALL THE LIGHT THERE IS (THE HEALING EDGE, BOOK THREE)

Psychotherapist Cate Duncan is done with danger.

Her training at the MacGregor Group’s parapsychology clinic has brought one crisis after another. So when research colleague Skeet offers Cate and her boss-turned-boyfriend Ben a working vacation at his secluded hunting lodge, they jump at the chance.

But the idyllic Mercier Lodge is teeming with secrets: Skeet’s unorthodox research methods, a tragic death that occurred at the lodge over a year ago, and its connection to Cate’s past.

As they delve into Mercier’s unsavory history, Ben and Cate stick close together, trusting in their love for each other to keep them safe. But when a scheme separates them, Cate must rely on the MacGregor Group’s paranormal abilities, some surprise allies, and her own determination to track Ben down and crack Mercier’s mysteries before the strange place claims any more victims.
