I definitely needed smelling salts this morning after learning that the Paranormal Romance Guild has nominated my work not once, but twice in the 2017 Reviewer’s Choice Awards! I am so grateful to PRG for this honor. Here are the nominations:
Not only is this the third recognition for this book, but it also demonstrates that this series successfully crosses genres, which I hope will invite readers with varied interests to discover The Healing Edge. It can be difficult to categorize books that contain an unusual range of elements, but I’ve heard from so many readers that they love the way The Healing Edge combines paranormal romance with suspense/mystery and New Age/spiritual ingredients.
Don’t forget, the series is now complete and available in both paperback and ebook formats — not to mention that all of the books are free on #KindleUnlimited! Please enjoy, and thank you for reading!
This weekend, I was floored and so honored to learn that the second book in The Healing Edge Series, ALL THE WOUNDS IN SHADOW, is a finalist in the 2017 IAN Book of the Year Awards for Paranormal/Supernatural Fiction! This is the third recognition the series has received, and the first for this book in particular.
I was so happy to see ALL THE WOUNDS IN SHADOW celebrated, since the questions it explores are such passionate ones for me: is there love after death, and how can we love heroically? There is a special place in my heart for this book, and it was wonderful to learn that the judges felt the same way.
I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my readers. Thanks to you, I was able recently to make good on my promise to donate a portion of the proceeds from the first years’ sales of ALL THE BROKEN PLACES (The Healing Edge, Book One) to two wonderful organizations, the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) and The United Way. My first book deals in part with issues of mental illness and people who are vulnerable and in need of help. These two organizations are ports in the storm for so many. Thank you, readers, for making these donations possible, and thank you, NAMI and The United Way, for the important work you do every day.

More great news to share! I was thrilled to learn this week that ALL THE BROKEN PLACES is a finalist in the 2017 International Book Awards (Fiction: Chick Lit/Women’s Lit category)! It is an honor to be in such great company, and wonderful to receive more recognition for ALL THE BROKEN PLACES, particularly in this new category where I hope to reach new readers. Many thanks to American Book Fest, and congratulations to all of the finalists and winners!
