In celebration of Bookstore Romance Day, I’m sharing the love for two of my favorite independent bookstores!

1) The Ripped Bodice, CA, USA

One of the most thrilling moments early in my publishing career occurred when I received a photo from Bea and Leah Koch, the wonderful founders of The Ripped Bodice, showing my debut novel, “All the Broken Places,” sitting on the “Anise Eden” shelf! The Ripped Bodice was the first romance-only bookstore in North America, and they have expanded in so many directions, supporting authors and advocating for the romance industry.

2) Philip’s Book Shop, Mallow, Cork, Ireland

After we relocated to Ireland, I was touched and grateful to be warmly embraced by the local writer’s group and by Philip’s Book Shop, and incredible local bookstore and gift shop. And I’m not the only one who loves Philip’s — they won “overall winner for Ireland” at the British Book Awards 2020! When I saw my books on their shelves, it made me feel even more like a part of our new literary community!
